Designed for easy seasonal application, these 12 spikes promote vibrant foliage and robust growth, making your garden stand out with minimal effort. ## Description Product Description Feed your biggest and most impressive plants - your trees! - with Miracle-Gro® Tree & Shrub Plant Food Spikes. This plant food spike has an NPK ratio of 15-5-10 which is the amount of available Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) which are key nutrients plants need to thrive. These fertilizer spikes provide nutrition directly to the roots where trees need it most. In addition, these tree fertilizer spikes promote vibrant color and foliage. For use with deciduous, flowering, and evergreen trees and shrubs, these plant food spikes are also great for acid-loving plants too. Apply once a season in spring and fall for best results. To use, place the enclosed plastic cap on top of the spike and drive it into wet ground around the tree or shrub following the drip line (as shown in the label illustration). Remove the plastic cap and continue to drive the spike 2 inches below the soil surface. Spikes should be placed at least 3 feet apart. For small trees and shrubs with a drip line closer than two feet, insert spikes two feet away from the center of the tree or shrub. This package contains 12 Miracle-Gro® Tree & Shrub Plant Food Spikes. Use Miracle-Gro Shake 'N Feed Flowering Trees and Shrubs Plant Food if your tree is struggling in the summer (apply every 3 months during growing season). **Q: Can fertilizer spikes go bad?** A: The fresher, the better, but you can store leftover spikes for the next feeding season. Seal in a plastic bag and store in a dry place. Don't toss the label–keep it to reference next time your trees need a nutrition boost. **Q: Can you use plant food spikes on outdoor plants?** A: If your "outdoor plant" is a tree or shrub, then absolutely! We also recommend our Tree & Shrub Plant Food Spikes for acid-loving plants. Our Shake 'N Feed Granular Plant Foods or Water Soluble Plant Foods are good for smaller container plants. ## Frequently Bought Together - Miracle-Gro Tree and Shrub Plant Food Spikes, For Deciduous, Flowering and Evergreen Trees, 12 Spikes - Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food, Fertilizer for Indoor or Outdoor Flowers, Vegetables or Trees, 3 lbs. - Miracle-Gro Shake 'N Feed All Purpose Plant Food, For In-Ground and Container Plants, Feeds for up to 3 Months, 4.5 lbs. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/208464052-tree-and-shrub-plant-food-spikes-for-deciduous-flowering-evergreen](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/208464052-tree-and-shrub-plant-food-spikes-for-deciduous-flowering-evergreen) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
