**Q: Does this work with a collar or do you need a hardness?**
A: This dog seat belt “works” that is clips to a collar, but that is dangerous.  A dog should never have a vehicle restraint attached to its collar. If there is an accident or sudden stop and the dog is thrown forward, it could be strangled. For that reason this belt and similar restraints should only be attached to a harness. The other end clips into the car seat belt lock. Very convenient. I used it today for an 8 hour round trip. The harness doesn’t have to be expensive.  As long as it fits properly it works great. Prevents the pooch from escaping in an accident or being injured if thrown inside the car. I hope my windy explanation was helpful.

**Q: Bought these but they are too short to use with the latch system in my regular cab truck.  Any recommendations for a longer variety?**
A: These are shorter than the other set we have.  I recall lengths mentioned in some of the item descriptions.  Check that or maybe something listed for larger animals.  My dog is 30 lbs and considered medium small.

**Q: What is the weight limit for dogs?**
A: Per the website it says around 100 pounds

**Q: Where is the latch in the car?**
A: At the bottom of the backrest, where the back meets the seat.  Look for a square shaped metal piece about 2 inches across.  (If you've ever dug around for a seatbelt that's fallen in, look there.)  If you look up infant seats- and the LATCH system they use.  Its that.
