## Description

The Baker 314FC surface thermometer is specifically designed to be used on horizontal or ferrous surfaces. It features two alnico magnets that act as the thermometer’s base and hold it in place and the Bimetallic sensor is a specially processed alloy that is preconditioned and pretested for permanent calibration and maximum stability. The sensor is located in a draft shield and is in virtual thermal contact with the surface to be measured which means a relatively quick response time and it reaches sensing equilibrium (stability) within three minutes. It is designed for applications such as: hot plates; griddles; die-cast dies; foundry core boxes; annealing ovens; weld preheats; motors; generators; engines; bearings; boilers, tanks, and drums. Please note you may receive a "REED" branded product which will be the exact same product as shown in this listing.

Review: Seems pretty accurate. Would’ve preferred black. - I bought this for my wood stove. There was about a 100*F difference compared to a Meecos Red Devil thermometer from menards. But seems to be within 10*F with an infrared thermometer. Would have preferred black instead of a silver face.
Review: Not accurate at all! - Used this on my smoker grill. it was about 100 degrees off from accurate. measured the surface temperature with my infrared thermometer and it read 225 F. this meter was reading 125 F. I know the 225 F was correct since that is what i set the grill for.
