Review: High quality, strong, weather resistant hardware for use with webbing - I have now used these along with 1" strap to hang three different kayaks upside down under our deck, where they are exposed to the weather. They remain extremely secure one year later. I also use them in my garage to hang ladders etc - anything where I prefer strap over paracord due to gentler weight distribution or greater strength. I use the provided screws when their length is sufficient, because they are good screws so long as there is no significant gap (e.g. from drywall) between the hardware and the strong material to which you are attaching. These are not cheap, but they are of high quality. I have not tested them to failure, but they seem to be very strong.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What size screws does this use and what length are the included screws?**
A: #10 sheet metal screws, 1" long. The loops are very good quality. I am impressed with them, especially for the price.

**Q: What is the working load?**
A: What's making you inquire about working load? How are you thinking of using them?

These are intended for attaching canvas bimini tops to small boats, so the loads are quite minimal. There is no practical need to do expensive load tests in a lab for this application. 

That said, they seem quite strong. I wouldn't have a problem putting a hundred or more pounds of pull on them with 1-inch webbing and the right fasteners, which must be part of the load calculation for any real-world application, as well as the material to it's attached to. For example, if you use the provided wood screws and attach it to soft pine, the screws are likely to pull out long before the strap eye fails. On the other hand, if you use grade-five #10 bolts and attach it to the hull of a battleship, the strap eye will likely fail first.

**Q: How far are holes center to center?**
A: 1.5” apart, center to center.

**Q: If these are mounted on 3/4" plywood, will the screws poke through the plywood? Looks close.**
A: Might be close. Can always buy shorter screws or add washers. The clamps are nice.
