I have 4 that are deteriorate from the sun, and you can't use them at all. I will order more to replace each and every one,l that is chipping away from the sun. I haven't seen them made from metal. The question I have is, why haven't the builders stopped using them, other than they make a bit of money, by selling the plastic ones. Why keep replacing them over and over. Just do it once and your done. I highly them. I'm 73 and female and I did them by myself. My husband can handle bigger things that I can't. And they are easy to attach with an electric screwdriver. I've got a lightweight pink box electric screwdriver, and it worked beautifully. So easy to install, they matched the predrilled holes perfectly. Honestly they are really nice and they won't deteriorate in the Arizona sun, like me! LOL I just think we all who own Rv's, should replace all of your storage compartments that need new door clips should change them all.
