(Like a radio)** A: I’m a not sure you can use it to control other things, the grip is designed to be connected to a PC and it requires Thrustmaster’s proprietary software (T.A.R.G.E.T.) to in order to operate. **Q: Why does this look like the warthog joystick, unless the usaf uses the same joystick?** A: Both the A10 and F16 use the same grip IRL. Interestingly, the F-117 Stealth Fighter also uses this same grip IRL. **Q: Can you use it for a car gear shifter?** A: I doubt it without serious modifications, the bottom has a proprietary electrical connector surrounded by a threaded collar that is completely different to an automotive threaded shifter shaft. ## Frequently Bought Together - Thrustmaster F-16C Viper Hotas Add-On Grip /2960848 - Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base (Compatible with PC) - Thrustmaster Viper TQS Mission Pack: Metal Throttle Quadrant System, Throttle and Control Panel Included, 64 Action Buttons, 6 Axes, Licensed by the U.S. Air Force (Compatible with PC) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/201508549-f-16c-viper-hotas-add-on-grip-2960848](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/201508549-f-16c-viper-hotas-add-on-grip-2960848) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
