Review: Not right for Whipped cream. - No problems with these other than I needed N2O cartridges for whipped cream and Nitrogen does not work for that. Just a heads up if you are wanting this for Whipped cream. Not the right product for that. I blame desertcart for this. I searched for N2O for Whipped cream an these were in the mix so I bought by mistake. I used 4 before I figured out I had the wrong type.

It took me longer than I care to admit to get it set up, but once I did I found I just needed to add the N2. Enter these nitro cartridges from ICO. *What I liked*: Small, no-nonsense package is a small cardboard box with room enough for the ten carts. Creamy smooth cold brew with that signature nitro roil on top after the pour (think Guinness or those Starbuck cold brew commercials). But while we’re at it, why not just use N2O (Nitrous Oxide) for the cold brew. Simple my friend, it’s all about the bubbles. N2O, while cheaper, produces bigger bubbles that expire sooner, leaving you with, well, just cold brew. N2O also has a sweet taste to it so if you like your coffee straight, it’s a no-go. At $1.46 per cartridge, they are one of the least expensive options for pure N2 (get out of here with that N2O stuff). *What I didn't like*: Because the cartridges only hold 2g of N2, you have to use 2 carts to fill the Royal Brew keg. This isn’t ICOs fault. All N2 carts pretty much only hold 2g. It’s still a bummer to have to use $3 bucks worth of N2 per cold brew batch. *The Bottom Line:* This is the best source of N2 that I’ve been able to find on desertcart without having to buy crazy amounts (there is a 360 count pack of N2 on there for $350 bucks, but that’s just nuts). Five stars out of five for giving my coffee that smooth Nitro kick without having to spend over $5 bucks per drink (my recipe, by the way, is dialed in to about 86¢/cup). I order these every time I run out, so I’d certainly buy them again.

A: Max you should use 0.5L of coffee for one charger. I would recommend 0.25L of coffee for one charger.

No problems with these other than I needed N2O cartridges for whipped cream and Nitrogen does not work for that. Just a heads up if you are wanting this for Whipped cream. Not the right product for that. I blame Amazon for this. I searched for N2O for Whipped cream an these were in the mix so I bought by mistake. I used 4 before I figured out I had the wrong type.

Wow! I expected more from this popular brand. I purchased 30 of these for my cheaper dispenser for whipped topping and I tried 4 times and all i got was liquid coming out after charging it with these. 4 times and a half gallon of heavy whipping cream later I got nothing. So I returned the dispenser thinking it was the dispenser because I used 4 cartridges and got the same thing, you would think the same thing I did. The common denominator is the dispenser. Same dispenser 4 DIFFERENT cartridges. Well, I was wrong and now have to retract my review on the dispenser because I went and purchased a NAME BRAND dispenser and NEW of the same brand of cartridges that matched the new dispenser and charged it the first time and boom whipped topping! So, I went to make more and I thought hey i'll use up the rest of the 30 instead of my new ones. I charged it and I GOT LIQUID AGAIN same as from the cheap dispenser. Sooooo I discharged it and cleaned it up and with the SAME liquid charged it again with the NEW matching brand of N20 cartridges and boom whipped topping that my cats even like. I don't know what is in these or not in these, but 5 out of 5 didn't produce whipped topping in 2 DIFFERENT dispensers, one being a VERY popular and EXPENSIVE brand. Just the same liquid as that went it. BUY THE NAME BRAND ONES that the MOST POPULAR coffee stand uses. I can't say the name, but you will figure out the green logo of the stand.
