All you need to do is have a power source, plug in the rca chords to the converter, then plug it into your hdmi port and it works! I even have it plugged into a hdmi switch because with one of my hdmi on my tv is for my audio, I only have 2 left and I have 3 more devices that use hdmi and the switch handles all of them easily!
