    Good case for the money

*by E***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2020*

I am receiving an “early reviewer” reward for this, but it won’t affect the honesty of my review. In the past, I have not usually used cell phone cases because the added bulkiness actually made me more prone to dropping the device. But I kept dropping my newer very slim, very slippery phone - to the point I finally destroyed it. So when I purchased a new LG V60 (great phone, btw), I decided to invest in a case. This Caseology case did not look very impressive to me on the site, but the price was right, so I sprang for it. I have been pleasantly surprised. The case is made of thick plastic and is quite rigid. I can see how this likely will protect my phone when I drop it. It was easy to get the phone into the case, and it’s a nice balance between protective and less bulky. The case fits perfectly and does not obscure any lenses, ports or buttons. On the negative side, it’s a heavy case. I would guess it doubled the weight of my device, easily. I suppose that’s why the case is protective. The first time I tried pulling my cased phone out of my back pocket, the edge of the case caught on the pocket and I nearly dropped the phone, so now I’m more careful.I wish this case came in other colors. My phone is a beautiful blue, but you can’t tell that because it’s covered by a black case. Also, a black case is harder to see inside my purse.Overall, very pleased with this case so far, but then again I haven’t dropped my phone yet. I’ll update this review after that occurs.

My Choice Compared to Spigen, UAG, Pulen...

*by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2020*

I brought home six cases to test out with my V60. The Caseology (scroll to the last paragraph) was the one I ended up keeping.Urban Armor Gear Scout: just too thick for day to day needs, and the buttons are very hard to press. The UAG case appears to provide the best protection of the six, including a high lip that yet works with Android 10's "swipe from the edge" Back gesture. The UAG sides are textured similarly to the back of the Caseology, but the UAG back is basically smooth.Spigen Rugged Armor: basically a given that Spigen is the standard, with excellent button pressability and hole alignment tolerances (though not perfect around the V60's three microphones!). I didn't like the aesthetics of the Spigen's "carbon fiber pads" on the back but my main objection to it was the back was smooth (as were all the others except Caseology) despite Spigen's ribbed sides.Osophter (Blue): I had high hopes for this case. First, it was the only one of my group that had color, although it's a deep blue. They copied the Spigen "carbon fiber insert" on the back which I don't like, but I did like the look of the back horizontal-stripe texture. Unfortunately, this texture is in appearance only and the back of the case is smooth to the touch, i.e. no added grip. Worst of all, the button presses were extremely clumsy. Hole alignment / tolerances seemed fine.Starhemei (Clear): this somes in identical packaging to the above Osophter case. I was wondering if the clear case would be "invisible" and show off my V60's blue back, but it just looks clunky. It also features large built-up corners for extra drop protection, subtracting from its case-not-a-case appeal. So I dismissed this case.Pulen: This was perhaps the most visually pleasing case to me. The faux CF-weave pattern on the back reflects light in different directions -- not shiny or sparkly, but just subtle enough to catch the eye. But the case is very smooth, almost slippery. The sides are just a tiny bit grippier than the back. Button feel was great. It also had the worth mic hole alignment of the six -- particularly the side mic, which ended up right at the edge of the hole. I wouldn't have hesitated to open the case's hole a tiny bit with a small file had I decided to keep it.Caseology (this case): For starters, I noticed that the Caseology packaging is identical to Spigen's. The style of box with a pull tab opening, the type of plastic bag inside and how it's folded, even the font and graphics on the decal applied to the outside of the box identifying the model number of the case inside. The Caseology stands out among the others because of its finish. It's a less shiny matte black, and doesn't have much to call attention to it. there is sort of a "woven" texture around the camera area, but it's very low profile and understated. The button press feel is every bit as good as the Spigen. The microphone alignment isn't perfect, but all three holes are within tolerance. The clincher for me was that the back is just every-so-lightly textured, almost akin to a high thread count canvas, not too different than the jeans I'm wearing. This gives me a notable improvement in grip as the phone rests on my hand., primarily against my index and middle fingers. Aesthetically I rank the Caseology #2 behind the Pullen. Wireless charging works fine and the phone >>just<< fits in my Choetech car mount / Qi charger with this case mounted.

    Decent LG v60 case...recommend

*by D***B on Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2021*

I think this Caseloony case appears to be well built and hope it does a good job of protecting my LG V60. It's a snug fit when applying. I have not dropped my phone so can't say yet how good it will protect. Its a decent looking case but could be a little more grippier. My son has a Spigen case and it is similar but the back of that case is even slicker than this one so my son likes this case over the Spigen case. I'm a big fan of Spigen cases and was a little disappointed in their case this time. The LG V60 is a heavy phone or heavier than the V20 at least so when I hold the phone I rest it on my curled up little finger at the bottom. The phone port cutouts irritate my little finger a little when holding it which might happen with any case I'm not sure.I would still recommemd this case.
