It helps block rodents, reduce heat loss, lower energy costs, and minimize condensation to help protect tools and equipment from rust. **Q: What type of doors can it be used on?** A: Compatible with all residential and commercial garage doors, including tilt-up, sectional, roll-up, and side-hinged doors. The 6,000 lb weight limit suits most cars, but it is not designed for forklifts, trucks, vans, or parking garages. **Q: What material is this garage door threshold seal made from?** A: A high quality, long-lasting PVC material that is odorless, and UV stabilised, so it will not decay, crack, become brittle or lose color with prolonged exposure to water or sunlight. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy duty *by P***D on 17 September 2024* This is a sturdy piece of kit, quite heavy as well. Cut and fitting was straightforward, should do the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stops rain/water penetration under garage door. *by A***. on 23 August 2023* Garage had been flooding even with minimal rain as drive slopes down to garage. It would flood to the rear of the garage making it hard to use/storage gardening equipment etc. This barrier has stopped the water getting in under the door. Unfortunately the rain is penetrating through the wood walls as these are in very poor state of repair (only recently bought the property!). So we still have issues but only minimal to what we had previously. Very pleased with the results. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy Duty *by A***E on 10 March 2021* Really happy with the purchase! ## Frequently Bought Together - 2" High Garage Door Flood Barrier Threshold Kit ‘GARADAM’ (8'3") | Flexible PVC | Complete Kit Includes 2 Adhesives | GaraDry - DGSL Garage Door Seals Bottom Rubber Weather Stripping Kit Seal Strip Replacement,Universal Weatherproof Threshold Buffering Sealing Rubber 5/16 inch T Ends, 3 3/4 Inch Width (10 Ft, Black) - Jin&Bao Universal Garage Door Threshold Seal Strip 12FT Kit, Bottom Waterproof Rubber Weather Stripping Replacement（Yellow, 1 Adhesive） --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/197017101-50mm-high-garage-door-flood-barrier-threshold-seal-kit-garadam](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/197017101-50mm-high-garage-door-flood-barrier-threshold-seal-kit-garadam) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
