I use the beige, tear drop sponge the most for day to day, with my basic foundation, so I clean it with a mild face cleanser (think a lightweight cleanser from Neutrogena or Aveeno) and let it dry out overnight, and it has still lasted me about a year now. I don't use the red sponge quite much, as I don't contour very often, but I am learning more every day from YouTube, lol, so we shall see how I progress with that one. These are PERFECT for anyone in theater who needs a good set of stage makeup sponges. The flathead sponge, especially, is great for adding detailed lines and for blending to the neck.These are such a good deal for what you get, not to mention the bonus of being latex free. I have seen others say they soak up too much product, but my experience is that they won't if you just apply a little less at a time. If you cake a bunch of foundation on it, well, it IS a sponge, so it has to go somewhere. My advice is use less at a time and you're good to go.
