Review: Big and bold - A good sized unit with a high quality arm band that gave me the confidence this was a serious medical product. Very easy to set up and start. The cuff with two big variances on the Velcro made it flexible enough for any arm size, even if it did need to be folded back for a slim fitting. I found the memory function intuitive and practical, and particular liked the 3 reading average which is bound to even out the "lifestyle" reading variances. Note: I didn't spot the batteries straight away, but they are in there, tucked into the cuff. If I use this unit a lot then I may need to acquire a power supply, which is an option. Review: Easy to use - Easy to use, clear display, average stored for reference. Great product at a good price. ## Features - ONE TOUCH AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT - Engineered for absolute simplicity during daily home use. The advanced oscillometric system inflates the cuff automatically with a single button press, delivering clear systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings on the oversized LCD screen for effortless cardiovascular tracking. - WIDE ADJUSTABLE SOFT CUFF - Designed to comfortably and securely fit upper arm circumferences from 22 cm to 42 cm. The flexible fabric wraps easily around standard to larger limbs, ensuring a snug fit that prevents residual pressure errors and guarantees consistent testing precision for adult users of various sizes. - 99 READING MEMORY STORAGE - Monitor your wellness history over time without the need for complicated smartphone setups. The integrated internal memory bank stores up to 99 previous results and automatically calculates the average of your last three measurements, providing a comprehensive overview of your long-term status. - IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT DETECTION - Stay fully informed about your pulse rate stability during every measurement session. The highly sensitive built-in sensor intelligently identifies heartbeat fluctuations, displaying a clear alert icon on the digital screen so you can track your rhythm alongside your regular pressure levels. - HYPERTENSION CLASSIFICATION INDICATOR - Instantly understand your results using the integrated World Health Organization grading system. A simple visual scale on the display categorizes your reading from optimal to severe, helping you accurately interpret your daily numbers and make informed lifestyle decisions with total confidence. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B084ZP2T1Z | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Age range (description) | Adult | | Band Size | 22–42 cm | | Best Sellers Rank | 189,957 in Health & Personal Care ( See Top 100 in Health & Personal Care ) 410 in Electric Arm Blood Pressure Monitors | | Brand | Citizen | | Brand Name | Citizen | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 103 Reviews | | Display Type | Digital LCD Display | | Display type | Digital LCD Display | | Included Components | Blood pressure monitor unit, Soft cuff SCW‑009 (22–42 cm), Instruction manual, 4× AA demonstration batteries | | Included components | Blood pressure monitor unit, Soft cuff SCW‑009 (22–42 cm), Instruction manual, 4× AA demonstration batteries Included components Blood pressure monitor unit, Soft cuff SCW‑009 (22–42 cm), Instruction manual, 4× AA demonstration batteries See more | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 13.7L x 11.8W x 6.2Th centimetres | | Item Highlight | Large Digital Display, 99 Memory Storage, 22-42cm Wide Soft Cuff, Irregular Heartbeat Alert & Home Use Indicator | | Item Weight | 305 Grams | | Item weight | 305 Grams | | Manufacturer | Citizen | | Manufacturer Part Number | CHUD517 | | Model Name | CHUD517 - Digital Blood Pressure Monitor | | Model Number | CHUD517 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Automatic Power‑Off After Use, Hypertension Indicator, Irregular Heartbeat Detection, Memory Function, Pulse Rate Indicator | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Power source | Battery Powered | | Software Update Supported to Date | unknown | | Target Use Body Part | Arm | | Unit Count | 1 count | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Band size:** 22–42 cm - **Brand:** Citizen - **Display type:** Digital LCD Display - **Item weight:** 305 Grams - **Model name:** CHUD517 - Digital Blood Pressure Monitor - **Power source:** Battery Powered - **Product dimensions:** 13.7L x 11.8W x 6.2Th centimetres - **Unit count:** 1 count ## Images ![Citizen CHUD517 Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618gwDjMg9L.jpg) ![Citizen CHUD517 Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Q33kljnWL.jpg) ![Citizen CHUD517 Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Mlz++6awL.jpg) ![Citizen CHUD517 Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DeLTcTzAL.jpg) ![Citizen CHUD517 Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714pbj3N3gL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How much the power cord cost?** A: battery operated **Q: Where was it made please?** A: This particular product is made in China. Great product at a good price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good *by B***U on 2 December 2020* I cannot ascertain the accuracy but I like it for functions , size and smoothness of operation. It comes with a nice cuff but I have decided to use it with a different cuff from a previous blood pressure monitor of a different brand. Lastly, it has an option of using with an external power supply which I have not tried but that's a good bonus if it will work. ## Frequently Bought Together - Citizen Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitors with Large Cuff - BP Monitor Blood Pressure Machine with Large Digital Display, Irregular Heartbeat, Hypertension and Body Movement Indicators for Home Use - Kinetik Wellbeing Finger Pulse Oximeter - Heart Rate Monitor Used by the NHS, Blood Oxygen Meter for Adults & Kids, Accurate Pulse Rate & O2 Saturation Monitor - In Association with St John Ambulance --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/195763843-citizen-chud517-automatic-upper-arm-blood-pressure-monitor](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/195763843-citizen-chud517-automatic-upper-arm-blood-pressure-monitor) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
