On the other hand, Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and are called “pull saws.” In comparison to “push saws,” this Japanese product is lighter in weight, requires less power, and results in a cleaner edge. - JAPANESE STEEL: All SUIZAN Japanese saws consist of top quality Japanese steel. The high-quality steel makes razor sharp cuts. - MADE IN JAPAN: All SUIZAN products are manufactured in Japan by Japanese master craftsmen. The whole process of making these tools are completed in one of Japan’s towns known for its craft-making tradition with a history of over 100 years. - BLADE FOR HARDWOOD AND SOFTWOOD: You can easily cut oak, sandalwood, ebony, mahogany, maple, walnut and pine with a robust blade for hardwood. The blade for softwood can be used for white cedar, Japanese cedar, larch, paulownia wood and many others. Not replaceable blade. - DIVERSIFY YOUR WOODWORKING LIFE: No matter if you are a master or a beginner, using traditional Japanese-style saws gives you a brand new experience and lets you make a wider range of woodworking products, thus changing your life! - For Flush Cut, Blade Length: 120mm, Blade Thickness: 0.3mm, TPI: H:17(1.5mm) S:25(1.0mm), Kerf Width: 0.3mm, Overall Length: 27cm ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07T9K59D1 | | Best Sellers Rank | 30,059 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 57 in Handsaws | | Blade Length | 120 Millimetres | | Blade Material | Japanese Steel | | Blade Shape | Round | | Brand | SUIZAN | | Colour | Brown | | Country of Origin | Japan | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (7,013) | | Cutting Angle | 90 Degrees | | Handle Material | Wood | | Included Components | Saw | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 27L x 1.6W x 4H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Professional Pull Saw for Woodworking Furniture Making DIY Tools Dowel Trim Plugs No Set Teeth Sharp Blade Ryoba Double Edge | | Item Type Name | Japanese Hand Saw | | Item Weight | 0.05 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | SUIZAN | | Model Number | SFL-001 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Teeth | 17 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Fine cross section, Professional use, Razor sharp, Smooth and accurate cut, Versatile | | Part Number | SUIZAN | | Power source | Hand powered | | Surface Recommendation | Wood | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Warranty Type | 30 days | ## Product Details - **Blade material:** Japanese Steel - **Brand:** SUIZAN - **Colour:** Brown - **Power source:** Hand powered - **Surface recommendation:** Wood ## Images ![SUIZAN Flush Cut Saw 120mm - Japanese Pullsaw Hand Saws Wood Cutting - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61LxytpPQOL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this suitable for trimming the bottom of a sticking door whilst it remains on its hinges?** A: I would say no, not really suitable for the task you describe. It would be *possible* to use this saw to trim your door in-situ but it would be very, very difficult and would take ages! The blade is very slim and so it flexes very easily on a push stroke - that's why it's a pull saw. It would be much better to take the door off its hinges, plane it and then re-hang it. **Q: Are spare blades available for this saw.** A: I would not think spare blades are available as the handle is just two bits of wood, but the saw is excellent, very sharp and the blade is flexible. The flexibility is excellent for certain cutting techniques but not like a general purpose saw. I use it for model making where it is necessary to cut very small wood sections at precise angles and for this it is perfect. **Q: Can the saw be sharpened ? If so, is it easy to sharpen ? Thanks** A: It possibly could be sharpened if you have a suitable file but it would be difficult to achieve the degree of sharpness of a new one. If you had it sharpened professionally it would probably cost more than a new one. I confident that if treated and used carefully it will last a good long time. If I do manage to blunt mine I would will simply get a new one. The teeth are extremely hard and sharp. Definitely worth the money. **Q: Struggling to understand an Amperage of 3.4A in the product description** A: This is a japanese hand saw, it doesn't have any amperage or any electrical components at all. There must be a mistake in the product description. ## Frequently Bought Together - SUIZAN Flush Cut Saw 5" - Professional Japanese Pullsaw Ryoba Double Edge Handsaw Woodworking Tools - SUIZAN Ryoba Double Edge Saw 9.5" Assembly ver - Professional Japanese Pullsaw Handsaw Woodworking Tools - SUIZAN Dozuki Dovetail Saw 6" Crosscut - Professional Japanese Pullsaw Handsaw Woodworking Tools --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/195708515-suizan-flush-cut-saw-120mm-japanese-pullsaw-hand-saws-wood](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/195708515-suizan-flush-cut-saw-120mm-japanese-pullsaw-hand-saws-wood) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
