It was in fact the SP1106A. **Q: New pool owner here. How does this product work in order for me to vacuum my pool? Does this connect to the vacuum hose? Thanks!** A: Yes. This is for an in-ground pool ok. you turn off you pool pump and set this on top of your basket, attached a hose to it (15 x 2x2 inches) I got an extension since my vacuum hose was short. I got the Milliard pool vacuum hose - 5 hoses for pool/spa cleaners. Make sure to let water in on your vacuum hose , drop in the pool and turn on your pump. this its all. its very simple and does a great job. **Q: can I use this with the SP1096? If not, can you tell me which one is compatible?** A: It does work very well. Does not create enough seal to have good suction. It is a waste of money **Q: What does the rubber gasket look like and where can I get one?** A: I do not know where to get it. But it is round. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hayward SP1106 Skim Vac In-Ground Pool Skimmer, White - Coopache 30-Pack of Pool Skimmer Socks - Filters Baskets, Skimmers Cleans Debris and Leaves for In-Ground and Above Ground Pools - RUNBO 3 in 1 Hot Tub Strips, Swimming and Pool SPA Test Strips kits for Free Chlorine, Bromine, Total Alkalinity and pH. 150 Counts --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1927434-hayward-sp1106-skim-vac-in-ground-pool-skimmer-white](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1927434-hayward-sp1106-skim-vac-in-ground-pool-skimmer-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
