Will this hold the tear together?** A: I would insert and flatten a piece of fabric inside the slit so that 5he fabric is under both sides of the year. Then apply the glue on the flatten fabric and press both sides of the tear together to close and apply pressure for glue to adhere to the tear. **Q: How does this glue compare to Barge and Renia for repairing a leather sandal - need to reattach heel to sole?** A: This can be used to repair a leather sandal. If you have any further inquiries, please contact Aleene's at info@aleenes.com or call 1-888-345-0764. **Q: Is this a super glue type glue?** A: No, this is not a super glue type of glue, which will bond within seconds. Aleene's Leather & Suede Glue will set up in 28-35 minutes, and will cure within 72 hours depending on the environmental conditions. **Q: Can this be used to glue decals to leather?** A: I'm unsure. I used this glue for suede and leather materials. I have not tried to glue on decals. ## Frequently Bought Together - Aleene's15594 Leather & Suede Glue 4oz - MORFEN Leather Sewing Kit, Leather Stitching Kit with Sewing Awl, Needles, Waxed Thread, Upholstery Repair Kit, Heavy Duty Sewing Tools for Hand Stitching Car Seats, Sofa, Carpets, Shoes, DIY Craft - RingSun 12''X24'' Genuine Leather Sheets for Crafts Full Grain Leather Tooling Leather (2mm) Thick Cowhide Leather Pieces Square, Dark Brown --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1923350-aleenes-leather-and-suede-glue-adhesive-for-crafts-embellishments-light](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1923350-aleenes-leather-and-suede-glue-adhesive-for-crafts-embellishments-light) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
