Review: Nice Accessory for Mobile Radio - I’m new to HAM radio and setup a mobile VHF/UHF radio as my base station at home. I used an electronics enclosure (also found on desertcart) to create a neatly enclosed setup. The only problem was that the little built-in radio speaker was also in the enclosure and the audio wasn’t great. Thankfully, this speaker solves that problem! The speaker sounds great and the build quality is good. It comes with a mounting bracket. The sound is much clearer than through the radio speaker. It’s easy plug and play. It is a great value for the money.

**Q: I want to use this with my yaesu ft-891 for pota. i know it will work, but does it make a difference out in the open, such as at a picnic table?**
A: IT SHOULD WORK WELL AT A PICNIC TABLE. PLENTY OF VOLUME.

**Q: This speaker says it works with db25.  i tried it with my qb25, and it locks the transmit circuit open.  is there an external speaker for qb25?**

**Q: Is this speaker water splash proof?**
A: Although this speaker has a protective screen on the front, I would avoid any excess water, including splashes, to the unit itself.

**Q: How well does it work with a FT-450D?**
A: Speaker is good for car use with a transceiver.  Ivtried it on Mt Yaesu ftdx 3000 and felt the built in speaker have a better quality sound.
