But you could equally cover your face with tissue paper, much like a 15 year old boy using a razor for the first time. Don't misunderstand me - my face wasn't gushing blood, but some veins did bleed a little, so you need to be prepared. If you can get past the scabby face for a few days and some little bits of bleeding, then the end result is NO THREAD VEINS!!!! I had a lot so did a few each Friday night for 4 weekends running. I don't work on Mondays and Tuesdays so, for me, by the time I went back to work each Wednesday, all blotchiness and scabs had vanished. The skin on my face hasn't looked as good for years. Sorry to sound blunt but total waste of money x **Q: How long do you hold the needle on the area for** A: Hi, the best thing to do is to get someone else to do it for you, it can be quite fiddly to do it yourself. The best way to remove the skin tag is to grab with tweezers and sweep the needle back and forth across the base of the tag which will begin to cut and cauterise. I don’t suggest holding the needle in one place for a long period of time. I also found that they come off a lot easier on a higher setting 6+. Hope that helps. This has literally saved me £1000’s with a private skin clinic. **Q: Does this work in thread veins ?** A: It did for me! I had a lot of thread/spider veins on my nose and face due to sun damage. Be warned, they can bleed a bit. Some will and some won't. And you will get some small pin head scabs form for a few days afterwards. I have been doing mine during the Covid lockdown so I can wear a face mask when I go to work and nobody can see the scabs! But ordinarily, you would want about 4 days for your face to look normal. I used the fine needle and just did little zaps along the length of each thread vein. Some went white and shrank away to nothing with one zap and others needed several treatment (those were usually the ones that bled). But I can honestly say that my thread veins are 90% improved. I still need to do a few tiny ones in the crease of my nose but they are so small now that I'm not even sure I'll bother. But I have used it on my body and face to remove freckles and spider veins. They have all almost gone the ones on my face went quickly. It did cause bleeding but that’s worth it for the end result. In the past I went to a skin clinic which cost me £700 a session. This little pen does just the same at a very cheap price. Nevermind burning smells that’s not a problem.
