But I do not recall it having a "bad smell" at all. Perhaps you got a bad batch? **Q: How long does 20 oz jar last for one horse?** A: The first jar you are supposed to feed 1oz twice a day so it will last 10 days. From then on you feed 1oz once a day so a 20 oz jar lasts 20 days. **Q: What is the difference between this product and Animed Histall?** A: Don't use it smells bad and didn't work for my horses.I looked up cetirizine dose for horses and had good results. So far this product has worked for him. When I notice him coughing, I add this to his feed and it's better in a couple of days. I continue using it for a couple of weeks and then stop to see if he's better. If not, I just start back. He eats it in his feed with no problem. I feed a small portion of grain along with ground flax and a vitamin/mineral mixture. I do wet his feed a bit so the powder gets dissolved in with everything. That may help the palatability.
