The Tripp Lite(R) by Eaton(R) TLP74RB offers economical AC surge suppression for protection of workstations, desktop PCs, telecom systems, and other sensitive electronics like printers, scanners, routers, etc. Built-in AC surge suppression shields connected equipment from damage and performance problems due to transient surges. TLP74RB offers 7 total outlets (6 are right angled and the 7th is the designated transformer plug outlet), 4-ft. cord, and diagnostic LED to warn of suppressor damage. AC suppression rated at 1,080 Joules shields equipment from surges and line noise. Keyhole slots on bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting options.

Review: Great product, well made, good brand, nice color. - Generally speaking, Tripp Lite has always made a good solid product, at a good decent price—this one is no different. I like the fact that it's of a darker color. Most power bars are white, and stand out quite a bit, but this one being a dark gray, almost muddy brown is a welcoming alternative. Most furniture these days I think is darker in most homes, especially around the entertainment area, so this fits in well. I like that the plug end isn't too large and will fit into the socket while allowing a second one to also plug in. Some I've purchased in the past make it very difficult and press against each other while plugged in. The switch is also another thought through detail—it's a solid switch, and when you switch from on to off or vice versa, it actually fully switches over. Most of the white power bars I used to have, the switches were very shaky and felt like they only did a half turn towards the other side. The last socket is turned 90 degrees to the side, this is great for those really big plugs you might have—the ones that look more like a power pack, rather then an electrical plug. Finally as a surge protector, it's a really nice added bonus. I use this, among other fail-safes, to plug my media center, including my computer and TV into. Two of these seems to do the trick and so far I've never had any issues. I'm glad I got them as a safety net, we've been having a lot of thunderstorms lately, and knowing I've got my setup going though this, is just an added layer of reassurance.
Review: Works great - This is just what you'd want from a power strip. It's nice and sturdy and feels well made. It has 7 spots to plug things in, which is nice, and the end one has a spot for a larger adapter so you don't have to cover up a second outlet when using one of the regular outlets on the strip. We have tons of storms here, and I always get really nervous about things getting zapped, which has never actually happened to me, but I worry anyway. I feel pretty reassured that this will keep my electronics safe. The only "issue" I have is that my house is old and all the wall outlets are two prongs so I have to use adapters to convert the 3 prong end into a 2 prong that will fit it. It's not a big deal because I'm used to it for lots of appliances, and I have plenty adapters on hand anyway. I just wonder if this compromises any of the safety the surge protector offers, but I don't think it does. So as of now, it's protected all my stuff through some storms, and I feel confident that it will continue to do so. I haven't tried mounting it, but that's definitely a plus if you're interested in that as well. It's a good price for a surge protector (which does more than just a normal power strip) so it's definitely worth the money.

Generally speaking, Tripp Lite has always made a good solid product, at a good decent price—this one is no different. I like the fact that it's of a darker color. Most power bars are white, and stand out quite a bit, but this one being a dark gray, almost muddy brown is a welcoming alternative. Most furniture these days I think is darker in most homes, especially around the entertainment area, so this fits in well. I like that the plug end isn't too large and will fit into the socket while allowing a second one to also plug in. Some I've purchased in the past make it very difficult and press against each other while plugged in. This is just what you'd want from a power strip. It's nice and sturdy and feels well made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ solid surge protector no complaints

Needed a power strip for my dorm desk setup and this one has been awesome. Seven outlets is way more than enough and having that one wider outlet at the end means I don't lose two spots every time I plug in a big adapter. It feels really solid and sturdy compared to the cheap ones you find at dollar stores. The surge protection is a nice peace of mind especially in older buildings where the wiring always seems a little sketchy.
