But you can flip polarity and the cold/hot sides will flip. **Q: What is the watage?** A: Approximately 85 watts if used at voltage of 14 volts. The watts used go down if you apply less voltage. You may also be interested in TEC1-12715 as it is double the watts of this unit. **Q: What is a good way to measure the current flowing through the Peltier semiconductor module when supplied with 12V?** A: The module must be attached to a very good heat sink, and then you can just a multimeter connected inline of the circuit, set on Amps. You must have a good heatsink attached because if not, the current flow will stop as the chip will reach stasis. Not a 6 AMP Module but I don't mind it was to be expected for the price. I think they meant to list it as 3 amps per module or maybe the modules have to have high performance cooling to achieve such power draw. I was using it too cool down my GPU, RAM & CPU but it damaged my computer parts after realizing that one of the modules was dead. Definitely was fun for my prototype.
