A: As far as I know, it was, it made gorgeous knife handles!

**Q: Ironwood populations in the Sonora Desert are "dwindling rapidly and recover extremely slowly." Are these blocks for sale sustainably farmed?**
A: Ironwood is not farmed to my knowledge, I believe it is gathered deadfall.  The best wood is that which has been dead for a long time.,

**Q: Is this stabilized?**
A: Nope, natural wood.

I bought the 6 x 3 x 2 in. block and cut it into 6 awesome pen blanks. Easy to cut & turn & finishes very well. I just finished this PSI Majestic style pen and I am very happy with the results.
