Nerf N-Strike Reflex IX-1 Blaster

This is a decent blaster, but I don't get any improved ranges with this "elite" blaster as compared to the older model IX-1s. All the other elite blasters I have purchased have outperformed their predecessor. Not this one. A slight range improvement, but not much.Of course, this blaster is for the little ones to use while the adults run around the house and shoot each other. So it serves its purpose.For me, the best "one shot" blaster is still the Jolt EX-1. That thing has great ranges and is very, very small.

NOTE: This gun is not a "elite" blaster and is simply a re-shelled and repainted reflex. Ranges are the same and internals are the same as the previous reflex.Shipping: I believe this gun is worth buying especially if you are purchasing it in a bundle with other guns, since "free super saver shipping" is compatible with this gun, well at least the one I bought.Thy Compacted a nite finder and a maverick.Wars:Now, this gun features a reverse plunger, which in turn, reduces range and moddability. The internals are extremely simple and fairly sturdy. Though this gun's rate of fire and lack of dart holders make it a fairly bad secondary and impossible primary, it is still worth carrying around in a war. Like the secret strike, it is that one extra shot.Functionality:If you didn't notice already, the gun primes by pulling the top portion of the shell backward and releasing it. The reverse plunger is pulled back and sticks out on the back, but isn't too in the way. It fires the one dart in its chamber by the depression of the trigger.Cosmetics and external features:Overall, in my opinion, the gun is fairly nice-looking. It has the "elite" paint scheme and tons of orange (which I like). The handle is very small, but the gun is still very operable. It features a tactical rail on the top for accessories, which I do not care much for. It features a mini key ring or sling mount on the bottom.Power:I have not range tested this gun but after watching many videos, I'd say the average firing range is about 30-40 feet flat with elite darts.Moddability:There is not much to work with. One can lube up the parts (giggity), drill out the air restrictor and dart post, and replace the spring, but that wouldn't give that much of an increased range.Package:The whole gun with 3 elite darts come in the packaging. There is no instruction manual of accessory.Overall opinion:I like this gun, though it is not as practical and does not offer more bang for the buck, I would still add this gun to your collection. I can imagine carrying 10 of these around just to troll people. Bigger than I thought. Nice gun for rapid fire and easy to pull back. Good accuracy and aim for target shooting. Just that my 3 year old had a hard time pulling the trigger. Overall we use a lot and me, my parents,even my 3year old that still likes. The size is about 4 inches and 10 cm. About the same size as the 6 dart magazine

It's cute and small. But it just doesn't have that much power, so the darts fall rather quickly and accuracy isn't as good as the more powerful guns. The Jolt has the same problem- too weak. My favorite is the Firestrike. We have most of these N-Strike dart guns in our office and the Firestrike is definitely the best in terms of accuracy and range (for non-rifile form factor). A good runner-up with more capacity and smaller size is the Triad EX-3.

I would suggest purchasing the one that holds more rounds. But ok for a starter. The darts are not suction either

Bought this NERF gun at the same time as several others. This one is great for small kids because it's easy to use and because the velocity is really low. But it's annoying to be playing and have the darts shoot three feet or less. For about the same price I would the NERF Strike Jolt EX-1.

Got a bunch of these so that Grandma could give the grand kids a fun Christmas present to play with at her house. We now use them for "Nerf Wars" down in the basement. Not really accurate, but perfect for what we like to do with them.

Non lasciatevi ingannare dai colori, non è della serie Elite e, a meno che non venga moddato, spara veramente piano.Per il costo che ha lasciatelo stare e prendete la Jolt (o ancora meglio, la Triad).Se invece siete come me, amanti delle Nerf, prendetelo e moddatelo perché è uno spasso da usare come arma principale per umiliare gli amici. Se lo unite a un mirino PinPoint il divertimento è garantito.
