It works beautifully for this job as long as I don't use the handle. If the handle were a little easier to snap on and off, it would make this product easier for me to use. As a 70 year old woman, the handle requires squeezing tightly to get into the grooves which I can do, but just barely. Because I'm using it in a toaster oven, I need to keep the handle off while cooking. But, when I want to remove it, it's difficult to quickly snap the handle on a hot cage, so I just use hand mitts and never use the handle. Other than that, I am very happy with this product.
