Great machine but has WiFi driver issues
Bought this to replace a 6 year old machine. Overall seems great so far..... very surprised at how good the screen/picture quality is. Also the mouse pad and keyboard nice to use and overall feels quality. Mainly though it seems so fast compared to my old one, really quick.Only issue is it wouldn't connect to WiFi as issues with drivers. As soon as you set it up, connect to router via Ethernet cable (not supplied). Go to intel website and do a search for drivers. Website will scan machine and advise which updates are needed. Also check for windows updates as lots for security that need downloading.

Good pc
Happy with so far, fast, screen good, touch pad very sensitive, otherwise good. It's my second Pavilion, so recommend.

A Great Speedy All Rounder
Apart from one frustrating issue (see final paragraph) I think this HP Pavilion 15-cs3000na 15.6 Inch is a jolly fine laptop.I'm no techie so am not anything like expert on some of the technical specs of this But I am on my laptop all day, everyday. So look for particular features that work well or otherwise for me. I'll mainly cover those here. I won't go into my likes and dislikes over Windows 10 but will stick to the HP laptop itself. The laptop looks really cool. Its sleek and reasonably lightweight. It all seems very well put together with good quality materials. The lid feels like real metal (and so may well be) and is always cool to the touch. The base and keyboard areas feel a bit more plastic but do look metallic. So the jury's out!On first start up Cortana (Microsoft's less helpful version of Alexa) talks you through the Windows set up procedure and connection to Wi-Fi. Personally I try and "skip" most of what this stage guides me though as it tends to steer you towards Microsoft's own services, data gathering, etc.The keys responds well, though in certain light conditions or at particular angles I can't always see what's written on them. Not a great issue, but for someone with poor eyesight it might be. A bolder or more contrasting colour to the key inscriptions would be an improvement. The mouse pad works very well. It only took me a few minutes to become comfortable with its responsiveness and click points. When running the fan is reasonably quiet too, certainly not intrusive. Otherwise the machine is silent.I'm particularly impressed with its boot up speed, which is as fast as any laptop or other computer I've ever used. Just a few seconds on the HP logo screen and BAM!! its up and running. The facial recognition feature also means there's no need to log in each time you turn it on, or wake it up from sleep mode. As long as I'm sitting in front of the camera it recognises my handsome chiseled features and goes straight to the Windows start up screen.Battery life appears very good. I was on it unplugged for over 2 hours yesterday evening: working with excel, browsing the web and playing around half an hour's worth of videos via YouTube. The battery indicator didn't even drop by 25%. By the way the HD images on the screen were excellent. No ghosting or hesitation with movements. Very sharp, clear and great colour definition. Very occasionally there was a slight pause when shifting to and from small screen to full screen mode. Whether that was down to YouTube, my Wi-Fi or the GTX 1050 driver I couldn't really say though. The sound coming out of the inbuilt speakers is better that your typical laptop too I feel. OK its not going to match up to a pair of external speakers. But watching Pink Floyd concerts on YouTube, I felt there was good instrument separation and clear bass response for what is after all a very small pair of speakers. All in all its a great machine. Price wise its at the upper end for a standard Windows 10 Home machine. But it does look, feel and perform well enough to easily justify the slightly higher price. If you are considering it, I do recommend it as a great all rounder. Bear in mind there's no built in CD/DVD drive. You do get 1X HDMI, 1X USB 'C', 2X standard USB, 1X card reader as well as an Ethernet socket and a mini jack headphone socket. The one issue I did have with it took me all morning to resolve. So anyone else experiencing the issue might want to read on to save themselves some time. Basically when I first switched it on and connected to my Wi-Fi router, the connection would only last a few seconds before dropping out. Basically the Intel Wi-Fi driver/adapter file was faulty or not working with my BT router in some way. So I spent some time on the HP interactive support web site downloading their latest Intel Wi-Fi driver/adapter (dated Sept 2019), which made no difference. Then spent an hour or more talking to an HP support technician who also couldn't work out what was wrong and suggested returning the laptop. Eventually I thought I'd check out Intel's web site, where I found a more recent version of the driver (dated February 2020). I copied that over to the laptop....and hey presto everything worked fine. So I am a little surprised HP were not quite on the ball with the latest driver fixes.I'm still giving the Laptop 5 stars though.... because once running it is a pleasure to use.

Stopped working 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired!
Bought from Amazon 14 months ago. Only used occasionally and well looked after. Yesterday, on turning on, it says that it is 'Preparing automatic repair', then it says that 'Automatic repair couldn't repair'I went to all the advance options and nothing helped!Git in touch with tech support in India. After 3 attempts they finally resolved the issue by uploading windows 10 via memory stick. Delighted, but I lost all my photos and documents.

Powerful with a beautiful display
First i would like to start with that i had a driver issue with wifi adapter, i tried using the hp software tools supplied with the laptop and it didnt work at all, finnaly found a intel update on thier intel website, so if you having the same problem just type the wifi adapters name into google. The display on this laptop is amazing, the quality and color is spot on, at 1080p the ressolution and size makes watching movies and videos really enjoyable.First time using a full metal latop, its well built and very slim, there isnt much ventulation other than whats on the bottom and perhaps on the top but that looks like to be the speakers, so try to avoid covering up the vents.I found it ran most of the games i play very well, csgo, league of legends, so i would recommend anyone that wants gaming laptop and something they want to use for work.Windows 10 has to be the best version they released its easy to navigate and find what u need, the laptop did come with alot of programs already installed, thats a minus for me. It had a older version of windows on it so i had to download alot of updates.

Quite impressive on speed
This came well packaged against damage. Quite easy to set up, but be aware of what Microsoft is asking of you - they seem to want everything from your email address to your inside leg measurement. I’m getting more and more frustrated though, with the lack of paperwork supplied with modern appliances, this had simply the most basic single piece of paper telling you the 5 most basic steps to get the machine running - frustrating for those first timers to computing!!!!The computer is reasonably lightweight and has great video and sound (the latter with help from Bang & Olufsen).A half gigabyte SSD and 8 mb of memory means that this will suit most people who want a good everyday machine. It will cope with games quite well as it has a good graphics card although it’s not an actual games machine per se.My overall impression is that this is a good business machine or a good all-purpose home machine. If I were looking for a personal machine, I’d be tempted to go for this although I do wish that the touchpad were a little more sensitive and there was even a half basic manual included, which is why this has note quite reached the 5 star rating but it’s definitely a 4

Mixed review
Laptop is great in all areas except keyboard display which has very faint lettering on a grey background. This is why I don’t like buying some items online. Such a shame the marketing people thought his was good !! Speed and screen display is great.
