It allows the radio to sit up off the desk with enough room for a fan under to to blow on the heatsink of the radio. It worked just as expected. It seemed to be well built and strong enough to actually be a structural part of the stand itself. It included all of the necessary hardware. It's been a while, but I think it actually contained two sets of the necessary screws rather than just one, which was nice.
