Review: This is my 6th Kala and perhaps my favorite. - I almost didn't buy because of review reporting a high and therefore difficult to play action. I went ahead and bought it anyway. I am delighted that I did. It is very handsome and sounds great. Full disclosure: I did sand down the saddle a bit to lower the action. It wasn't that bad "out of the box", but I wanted to see if I could improve the playability. It is now my most playable uke and is rapidly growing to be my favorite. There's not a great risk in trying to lower action by sanding the saddle. There are good instructional videos and your total risk exposure is $10 or less for a new saddle.
