Just a cute husky. - First off, I would just like to say that the person typing this review is actually the daughter of the person whose account this is and not the person himself. I ordered this stuffed animal from the ty company website directly for $4.99 just recently (I don't know why it's so costly on desertcart), and when the package arrived, I was not disappointed when I opened the packaging. This toy has been in my possession for about 31 hours so far, and I have not had any problems. The woven cloth tag sewn into its butt says, "SHELL 100%, TySilk™" just above the little heart and the name of the toy. I have yet to find this on any of the other Beanie Boos I have, but I have found similar notes on the tags for Brownie the brown bear and Wiggy the sea lion of the more recent Beanie Babies collection which are just labeled as "Beanies" on their website. However, the tags on Brownie and Wiggy say, "VelvetTy™" rather than "TySilk™". I am not 100% sure what this means, and I have yet to find information about it. However, I do believe it has something to do with the fabric used and the texture of the fabric. Slush feels a bit softer and gentler to the touch, and even the inside of the ears feel softer than the insides of the ears of the other toys like him, so that might be the difference that is the reason for the tag on his rear to be different. The snout and bottoms of the paws are very soft too. Furthermore, the bottom of the tail is super fluffy and soft. I know people are complaining about the height. Yes, the regular size is small, but it clearly shows that it is only 6 inches tall in the the pictures, the description, and the answered questions. There are different versions if this toy in various sizes. This is the regular, the keychain is tiny, the medium is 13 inches tall, and the large is 16 inches tall. There is one user who seems to have commented the same critical review on 3 different Beanie Boos (including this one) and giving all three one star. The user is saying that all the toys were defective as one fell apart as soon at it arrived, and the others tore apart as soon as the kids got it. One child apparently nearly choked on the stuffing. The user also said that the beads in the stuffing are little "cristals" that can cause some serious damage to little children. I will now rebuttal this critical claim. Occasionally, toys do fall apart and are defective, and but I doubt it happened that quickly. If you are getting it from the company, they should not have any defect like falling apart instantly. As for the one given to the kid, I can only imagine that the child tore it to peaces. I once actually had to sew the back of one of the leopard Boos I bought at a store once because it wasn't sewn up correctly in the factory (my brother pointed it out when I finally got home), and the beanie parts of these Beanie Boos seem to be double bagged so that plastic pellets don't fall out as they are being sewn into the toy. Thus, if the crystals did come out, someone had to have really worked hard to mess up ALL of the stitching. These toys are clearly for ages three and older, so if one of those children did actually stick the stuffing into their mouths and nearly choked on it, then that child is clearly either way younger than the minimum age the company clearly states the the toy is for, or that child has some seriously terrible mental issue which should be investigated by a doctor. And yes, the stuffing has plastic beads. If the person who wrote the review had bought toys like this before as they said they did, then they would know that every toy in any beanie collection ever has plastic beads in them. That is how they get their name. Yes, they could be a hazard for little children, and that's why it's for ages 3 and older. No, it is not spelled "cristals", it's spelled "crystals". The toy I got is very well made, and I have yet to find any issue with the stitching. I have even thoroughly inspected every seam on this toy. So, when it is made well, it is made very well. As I said before, there are occasionally slip ups just as there are at every company, so if a a couple people out of hundreds receive a defective toy if they ordered it directly from the company, then it's still a pretty unlikely that the toy you will receive will be defective. If you are worried about getting any defective toys from Ty, then you can go buy one at your local CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and wherever else they are sold. That way, you can physically inspect each toy with your own eyes before purchasing. All in all, this is a really cute stuffed animal that can fill even adults with childish glee and comfort. All good here!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute, No Condition Issues *by A***I on June 18, 2017* This is one of 3 beanie boos that I purchased for our daughter for her birthday. It arrived looking very much like the picture, was wrapped in plastic so there weren't any smudges of dirt on it, and it's super soft. I asked her what she thought about this one, and she said that she really liked it, she feels like it's smaller size means it's going to be friendlier to her feline beanies, and that the name is fun because it reminds her of slushies. In general, we have only ever had one beanie boo that needed repairs to a seam. She's got a decent size collection of them at this point, so I feel comfortable enough saying that overall these are good quality toys. As a parent like that they don't shed. She bought some kitty that you feed and it poops plastic pellets from the store, and that thing sheds fur all over the place and I absolutely hate the mess that comes with that one (not to mention the emotional twitching that results from the all to real parallels to our own kitty) and am eagerly awaiting for the day it goes fully bald. So if she ever wants to collect those, it may have to wait until she's living on her own.
