**Q: Will this product raise cya levels at all?  thank you**
A: It works very well. It raises the cya level in no time.

**Q: Can someone please tell me what exactly it "burns off?"  It says it "burns off chlorine cells" but chlorine isn't a cell, it's an element.**
A: When there is a high level of organic waste in the pool, the available chlorine is used up attacking the organic waste, giving bacteria free reign to grow. Non-chlorine shock oxidizes (kills) the organics and helps clarify pool water. This allows the chlorine to do its job of attacking bacteria and algae instead

**Q: Is this comparable/compatible with the Pristine Blue system?**
A: Pristine Blue is liquid copper, which is a sanitizer. You don’t need another sanitizer (chlorine, bromine, etc). However, just like other “systems”, you need to shock it. I’ve been using Pristine Blue in my spa for several years, and love it!  Very little maintenance.
