Review: Robust and high quality - I am 5ft 7 and 11 stones in weight with a 40inch chest, I ordered the size large, my usual size and this fits perfectly on my shoulders with room for layering underneath, I don’t like tight fitting jackets so it’s a personal choice. I highly recommend this jacket for UK winter, I also purchased the hood for extra protection and that is also of high quality. This is tough material which repels light rain. Highly recommended. 👍

**Q: Should I order small or medium for 40” chest?**
A: I went for a medium as you want some space underneath for jumpers etc. as its going to be a winter coat, fits me fine.

No, Carhartt has not been producing anything in the USA anymore, for several years now, everything is produced in the East.

**Q: If I'm on the fatter side should I order my usual size of xl or will it be huge? Thanks.**
A: Not sure if this helps. I take a L but bought M and it fits fine. Carharrt sizes come up to the maximum end of size range EG 42 TO 44 is nearer 44.

**Q: Is the jacket shower or water proof?**
A: Definitely showerproof. It’s good quality canvas type material so it holds out water for a while. I’m sure it will get through eventually though it hasn’t done yet.
