It was a bit fiddly to put together but once you had the parts around the right way and lined up the holes with the screws, it was straightforward. The main part of the easel is prebuilt. The wood and the whole easel are solidly made so in my mind value for money. I love it. The fact that the easel is multifunctional. i.e you can lie your canvas flat, which is what appealed to me. Also the size of the easel and the sizes of the canvases that can fit on it is just right if you only have a small art studio like me.

**Q: Can i use this with one very large canvas or only 2 smaller ones?  For example one 60 inches tall single canvas?**
A: The horizontal canvas ledges are all removable, so you could use this with one canvas rather than two. Keep in mind that the two vertical bars in back are only 17 inches apart, so stability of a 60" canvas might be less good than with a wider support behind the canvas. However, you can tighten the top and bottom ledges canvas-holders, so that would help. I wouldn't try to use a canvas large than 60" with this easel though.

**Q: Can you use this easel if you like to paint sitting on the floor?**

MEEDEN Versatile Studio H-Frame Easel is so amazing. it has two bottom holds. You can put your canvas on the below bottom hold and adjust the high, then you can paint sitting on the floor. But when you paint on the upper of the canvas, you may need to stand or a chair.

**Q: How do I make the canvas flat for storing when not in use (like the photo to the right in the display)?**
A: It’s not easy to explain without a video or pictures.  However, even a klutz like me figured out how to loosen the right combination of knobs so that the easel lays flat.  It takes a little bit of focus to visualize which legs/arms  have to  be rotated to a single in-line configuration, and thus which knobs have to be loosened.  Also, look for videos for storing easels.

**Q: How does one keep the easel from rolling when folded for storage if the wheels don’t lock?**
A: The wheels are only on one side of the easel, the other side where the weight is leaning on are flat rubber stoppers. It does not roll and requires a little effort to move with needing to lift it off the stops.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and versatile

This easel is made well!. Its construction has a lot of thought behind it. A few people however might find it difficult to assemble, but if you follow the guide carefully, you'll achieve it within 30 minutes or so. The other downside is that there's a few knobs to turn to get your desired position, but I find that you rarely need to alter your perfect position once you find it. The wood finish is excellent and sturdy. The articulation is great and has a professional feel to it. Definitely worth the price as the easel can be versatile. You can achieve many positions from vertical to horizontal, as well as, adjust the height to suit your needs. Small to very large canvases can be mounted on this easel, so it's an investment for the budding artist who wishes to progress to bigger projects, or studio work. It doubles up as an exhibition stand too, so it's multifunctional. It's definitely not a cheap choice, but if you want that little bit more from your easel, then consider this one.
