AC Infinity RAXIAL S6, Inline Booster Duct Fan 6” with Speed Controller - Low Noise Inline HVAC Blower Can Fan for Basements, Bathrooms, Kitchens, Workshops - desertcart.com

Review: Nice fan, quiet depending on how you install it. - Have this hooked up to the far end vent for a Bambu P2S printer to exhaust toxic fumes. Yes the instructions say don't use this for toxic fumes but I figured if thousands of others have been using this for their printers over the years it must be ok. There aren't a ton of toxic fumes, and they're not flammable fumes either. I would not use this for flammable fumes. It moves a decent amount of air once it gets to the midway power setting. On max it move a little more but this doesn't need to be hair-dryer speed to do it's intended job. Yes it's a little noisy if you don't have any vent tubes hooked up to it. I have it midway on power and connected to a flexible 4" dryer duct on one side and a tin dryer duct on the other. I can hear it from 5 feet away but barely. If you've ever been next to a RADON fan it kind of sounds like that...super muffled. It's right below our master closet and if I stand in the closet and purposefully listen, with no other noises going on, I can barely hear it but I know what I'm listening for. The spousal unit has not noticed at all, and she's in there a lot. I think that's her safe space, not that she needs one mind you. But with the clothes everywhere it helps to shut out distractions and noise and I see how it can be calming to hang out in there. Back to the topic--Once you turn it on it seems to start at 100% power, then quickly lowers power to wherever you have it set. Nothing wrong with that, just wanted to point it out. I have it plugged into a smart receptacle, so I can turn it on from afar. Should come in handy if I forget to turn it on and start a print and leave the house. Can also monitor energy usage, but I don't think it draws much. The housing is exactly 4" diameter, the exact same as most hard/tin 4" ducts. This is a little annoying. I have it connected directly to an outdoor dryer vent, and the tube that came with that vent is the exact same size as the housing, so I had to buy a short super thin adapter and clamp the vent to the adapter, then the fan to the adapter. I did get a 4" flexible dryer duct attached to the other side, little challenging but it fit. I only use about 4ft of the flexible duct, then it goes to hard duct and runs across the room to the printer.
Review: Solid cheaper option but not much air movement - This is a good inline option for the price, doesn’t move the most air but it’s pretty durable. Not too heavy easy to instal. There are better options but this one works for the beginner

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you add a carbon filter**
A: I'm using it with a 4" carbon filter in my veg/mid flower 2x4 tent. Airflow is pretty reasonable coming out of the end and the air is scrubbed good with a clean fresh smell. I'm here because I'm buying a second one to use as an intake fan to complete the setup. I'm only running 1 95 watt light in this tent so I don't need extreme airflow. In my 3x3 flowering tent however, I am running the ac infinity cloudine 4" fan with the ac infinity 4" carbon filter. More lights and more smell equals more airflow needed.
These are a little bit on the louder side compared to the cloudine so if that doesn't bother you then you'll be ok. You'll need those running at full speed with the carbon filter. I run my cloudine at half speed.
If you're looking to save some money then it will do the job but the cloudine is the one to get otherwise.
I'll probably get another cloudine in the future for my veg tent but for now this will be ok.

**Q: Will this plug into T8 digital temp and humidity control?**
A: I use it in my tent to exhaust air out and have it in a timer, but you can def plug it into an environmental controller.

**Q: I need to run at approximately 190 to 200 cfm. Would it be quieter to run a 6 inch at high speed, or an 8 inch at low speed to achieve this flow?**
A: Go with the 8 inch which will move more air at lower speeds. Higher speed it becomes a small wind tunnel and is loud..

**Q: can this fan be used on the end of a hose connected to an engine exhaust pipe to help get the exhaust out of my garage?**
A: Usually when you are venting a car exhaust you would hook the hose directly onto the tailpipe and then vent it outside. The force of the exhaust would not need a fan. You could put this fan above that area and suck out any air that you do not want.
I have mine hooked up basically for the winter time to suck the hot air around my furnace and heat another room in the basement, and it works great.
