Review: You will not be disappointed! Excellent Machete! - I used this a few times after I bought it and it was ok. I used it all day in the yard today and it was amazing. Handle grip is excellent. Heft and thickness of the blade prevents a light strike or serious vibration in your hand/arm. It is sharp and takes care of business from bushes to felled pine tree limbs. I was totally impressed with this machete. Sorry it took so long for the review but it took spring before I got out and used it. Would buy again if needed but the way it’s made if I buy again it will be a gift. Very impressed with the quality for the price.

**Q: is it good for self-defense?**
A: Well, it's a bit long to conceal, so everyone will see you walking around with a machete which may act as a deterrent. If you live in an area where everyone carries machetes and you might need to use it for defense, then that's a different story. The blade is heavy and will chop through many unarmored opponents. The handle shape and rubberized coating will help you keep a firm grip as it becomes covered in the blood of your victims. The safety loop has a firm snap that keeps the blade securely stowed to avoid accidental withdrawal. This may impede your speed at deployment, so keep that in mind. While this may work well for defending yourself against slow moving zombies, this would not be my weapon of choice for fending off armed bandits. If you have ranked up your heavy blades skills, then perhaps you could quickly turn them into un-armed bandits, unless they have a gun or a knife intended for combat.

**Q: Does it come with a case or cover ?**
A: It comes with a sheath that you can put on a belt. I like that the belt loop snaps so you don't have to take your belt off to attach it. The sheath has a snap-loop so it stays firmly secured when not on your belt, too. So yes, it has a cover. No, it does not have a full case that fully encloses the entire blade and handle, but not sure if that's what you're seeking.

**Q: What is the thickness of the blade?**
A: It's pretty heavy. Eyeball estimate is about 3/32".

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will do the job and more. Handle short

Length as stated. Chopped through 3” vine with ease, 3 chops. Took no chips, dings, knicks to the blade. Blade felt sharp, but had trouble cutting small objects, so need’s Sharpened. Loved the length, sturdiness, blade craftsmanship, material. Only issue, large hands and handle is too short. When I chop, swing, end/tip of handle rolls up/down in palm making a blister in center of palm. Also, shirt handle makes it unsafe, with a tendency to slip out of handle. No secure hand bind to keep on wrist if it does slip too. Despite that, it is great, sharpen. However, I hope they increase handle length, if I were to use more than an hour.
