The ME5 is for everything but concrete or concrete type materials. For an accurate measurement of the surface of a concrete slab or floor screed the meter requires a special/different calibration for concrete due to its high moisture content. This is such a big difference that it is not possible to make a meter that can do both ACCURATELY. That is the big difference here. Some others will claim they have a meter that can do both but that meter will only give you a relative number as apposed to a more accurate moisture level of the material like the Tramex meters do. And the Tramex meters all come with a certificate of calibration where as most other manufacturers do not.
