**Q: How tall is the speaker from front to back depth wise?**
A: About one & one eighth inch.

**Q: Do you strip the melted black plastic from the contacts? If so, how?**
A: I took my soldering iron and carefully removed the black coating.

**Q: Work for car ?**
A: They work very well in my Mazda Miata

**Q: How do you connect speaker wire to these?  There just black plastics like tabs where you would typically connect the wire.**
A: You have to solder wires to it. You'll need a low-heat soldering iron otherwise you'll melt the contacts and destroy the speakers. You'll need really small wire, 18 AWG max, run it through the hole for a good mechanical connection, heat the wire with the iron, and melt the solder with the wire, not the iron--again, don't heat too long, it won't take much heat to melt the solder, then done, you'll have a good electrical connection
