I used it on the top and shelves of a book case I painted with a chalk paint, and while it’s only been a short while since I finished it, there doesn’t appear to be any marks on the book case which gets a lot of use with keys, dog leads, etc being thrown onto it. Review: Adds shine and the wall is easy to wipe down now - I brought this after doing so research with out having to repaint the wall in brought this because I made the mistake of getting the matt emulsion paint so when it dried I instantly didnt like the texture of the wall the matt paint made smudge marks from running my finger on a tiny bit. So once I had this I used a small roller as it goes on better. I have navy blue walls and I did end up buying about 3 tins just because of the size of the wall and It had about 4coats of the lacquer on but I. So pleased with it. I used over a satin finish black wood paint and the finish though even, was slightly “cloudy”. Could be that the varnish is a Matt finish and I used over a satin.
