## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 years and prefect.
*by J***T on September 16, 2013*

2019 review:works perfectly with: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FEMI6G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=12015 review:I read the reviews talking about missing cables, crossed my fingers, and ordered anyway. You get a box with 6 cable sets in it. Half 10' and half 6'. All are USB.Also inside this box is another box that has: 1 usb cable set, 1 ps/2 cable set, KVM switch, and other various KVM cables. So, I got all 8 cables, but 1 was ps/2. All were supposed to be usb.The cable for the key/mse/vga had both usb plugs and 2 ps/2 plugs on it as well. It's about 6 inches long. There's a cable with an rj11 plug on it for upgrading firmware. There's a mystery cable, 6' long, that I finally figured out is for cascading to another kvm. It's got vga on one end, and their proprietary plug on the other, but no usb. I thought it was an extension for the console cabling, but that does not work (vga passes through, but key.mse does not).Once setup, the unit's great. It is working perfectly with anything from 1024x768 to 1920x(whatever). There's no flicker, hesitation, or other problems. I cannot even tell the signal is going through a KVM.We saved more than the cost of the device by reclaiming rack space, 5 usable monitors, 10 keyboards and mice, HVAC costs for all those monitors, and time spent checking servers from a central desk.

### ⭐ A poor value
*by D***F on July 6, 2025*

The switch never allowed the attached monitor to enter suspend mode, and support claimed that was the intended behavior. Two ports quit working after approximately two years. Now I occasionally need to cycle power to get the remaining ports to work.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great with one tiny exception
*by J***R on February 13, 2015*

I have several systems that I was really tired of swapping cables around in order to work on them. This is a well-made KVM, in the sense that it works as expected and is just generally well-built. Includes several cables - the one I got with UBS and monitor on one end, and a proprietary plug on the other that resembles a VGA plug. Cables are included and are 4x 6' long, and 4x 10' long. There's a short VGA, PS/2 (x2) and USB (x2) that is to be used at the console end, where in the keyboard-marked USB plus I placed my wireless keyboard/mouse dongle and all is good.Only quirk I've found is that sometimes in a system BIOS, and, it seems, only on the 1st slot, it'll double-up on command keys. If you're REALLY quick, you can sometimes get it to trip a keystroke 1 time, but, otherwise it's a bit annoying. It works GREAT outside of that. Fits my needs fantastically. 4 servers, 1 desktop that is DVI only - using a DVi-VGA adapter and no problems there. A double-tap on Scroll-Lock brings up the KVM menu that can be worked entirely via keyboard. tap-tap/blip, work on a system, tap-tap/blip, work on another system...rinse and repeat as needed.UPDATE: I thought I'd post an update now that I've been using it a while. I discovered after purchasing a smaller keyboard and a new mouse, that when using a wireless receiver that is unified (ie, one receiver for both the KB and M) - it was REAL intermittent for when the KVM would function correctly. Most times, no mouse at all. I ended up solving this by setting the receiver back to single-device, and plugged it into the appropriate USB port with the wireless device's receiver on the KVM input. Since then, not a lick of trouble. I still haven't even checked to see if there is a newer firmware out there, it just works.
