Review: Got the job done - best bang for your buck - I bought this soldering kit to solder 2 capacitors on my 52" Samsung TV. The solder tool got hot quick and and the solder joints were the best I've ever done. Great kit for under 10 bucks, c'mon! Can't beat that anywhere. I did wish it came with the copper wick but I knew that before I bought it. Came with some red & black wiring, cable wraps and electrical black tape which I did not need for this job but I guess the kit is future proof. I would not buy this kit if I soldered 24/7, there are other better quality brands for that. All in all, very impressed for what I thought would be a subpar kit but it held its own very well. The soldering tip on the tool was excellent and the extra 2 tips that came in the box looked legit. I rec'd the kit like in under 18 hours from when I hit "place order". The box does include a free download copy of "mastering the art of soldering e-book." Great read for beginners.
Review: This kit did exactly what I needed it to do for an unbeatable price - I have only had this Plusivo Soldering iron kit for just a few days, and have only used it for about an hour. I can say that even if it stopped working right now, it would have already paid for itself(12$). I was able to replace a couple of capacitors in a flat screen TV, wire a webcam from a laptop to a USB cable, and replace a headphone jack on two pair of headphones. I got this because I needed a smaller tip iron for the headphone jack repair. I will say that one should avoid running the iron at full temp for extended periods with the small tip. I recommend reducing temp until ready to use and reducing temp while idle. The small tip easily becomes deformed, but still functions. The solder sucker actually works great, I have braid but used the included tool and it performed perfectly. They include a generous amount of shrink wrap, which I used on the headphones. I think it adds a clean finish. I guess the only thing missing is some flux, but for the low price I really can't complain. Even without it, the solder included in the kit adhered fine, I am pretty sure it is a hollow core with rosin. I would definitely recommend this product for convenience and performance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Soldering iron is junk, but the other parts make this kit worth the price.

For $10, there's a lot of value here. The soldering iron is junk, and the tips are worse, but it'll last long enough for you to do some simple soldering jobs if that's all you need it for. Even without the soldering iron, the kit is worth the $10. The heat shrink tubing is pretty good quality, the desoldering pump actually works relatively well, and the tweezers are easily bent, but it's always nice to have an extra pair around. Oh, and the electrical tape isn't too bad either. It's not the stickiest, which is both a pro and a con, because it's good for wrapping, because there's not a lot of glue residue that melts and causes things like cables to become sticky. However, it's probably not the best for taping something down to surfaces. The wire is OK, but it's stranded so I bought some 30 AWG enameled copper wire instead to prevent short circuits. Unless I'm using it wrong, the wire stripper is pretty useless, and it takes less time to strip wires with a box cutter or a lighter. I'll probably never use the screwdrivers, but as with the tweezers, it's nice to have extras around. A final note: Be careful with the included stand. It's so lightweight that bumping the cord while the soldering iron is resting on the stand could cause it to fall over.
