A: Yes, snip off quick connect end and then to create a  Weather proof connection use a heat shrink tube and butt connector to complete the connection. These can be found at you local hardware store.

A: yes, this light fixture must be wired into a 12v transformer (not included.   The 12v transformer would be plugged into regular 110 household current with a GFI.
