The original Glock sights were low and I couldn't cowitness. These sights lined up perfectly. Be warned, you will need the sight removal tool to remove this sight. I can confidently tell you these sights DO NOT co-witness. The rear sights sit slightly below the Venom therefore failing to co-witness. I returned the Venom (for other reasons) and went with a Trijicon RMR which these sights will co witness with. The Venom has a taller rear base vs the Trijicon. I also have an old model 22 (let's say Generation one rather than old) and the site appears to be the same for the 40 and the 9mm So yes this sight will work. Only thing is if you are using a site tool this site barely fits in the tool and it takes some care not to scratch the top of the site due to its height. So keep that in mind if you are buying a sight tool, get one that fits tall sites. With these I didn't even have to buff down the rear sight, it slid in tight and smooth without too much problem.
