The UCO matches are made of MUCH thicker wood then normal matches. So I can carry less then I used to because these are bigger and burn much longer due to having more wood to burn and more chemical compound to keep everything going. I would say striking one of these matches would be like striking 6 or 7 regular matches at once. Plus the UCO matches are waterproof. When you light these you cannot put them out. Put them under water, bury them in the dirt, stomp on them…you literally cannot put these out after they start burning. Which is exactly what I want. I will not use these to light candles at home.
