I'd compare them to ANY other strings out there for quality and especially the price. I buy the three pack and save a lot of money. Plus, they sound great on my Strat, Streamliner Jet and my Telecaster semi hollow body. The clarity and tone are very bright and the sustain is remarkable. I love the nickel coated steel strings because of their flexibility and ability to hold tune. Review: Good strings for dummies - These are my most favorite strings by far, i've tried their standard and super slinky's and I put these on every guitar I use. I own a lot of guitars with high action and these strings make it so much easier to play on high action guitars due to their smaller size so I'd recommend these for those with high action. They have good durability, never had to fear snapping the high E when tuning this. It's easy to put on and off unlike some strings. They have more of a brighter sound to them, wouldn't use them for darker songs or low riffs unless you're some professional that can pull it off. The packaging is really nice too and I like how they put each string separate for dummies like me that can't tell them apart by default. ## Features - Includes 3 individually wrapped sets - Ernie Ball Slinkys are played by legends around the world including Slash, Jimmy Page, Metallica, Eric Clapton, and more - Ernie Ball’s original 11-gauge Slinky set, Power Slinky offers players a thicker string than a standard 10-gauge set - Element Shield Packaging prolongs string life and keeps strings as fresh as the day they were made - Bright, balanced tone ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001NI4M1Q | | Best Sellers Rank | #3 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #1 in Electric Guitar Strings | | Body Material Type | Nickel Plated Steel | | Brand | Ernie Ball | | Brand Name | Ernie Ball | | Coating Description | coated | | Color | Power (11-48) | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 131,623 Reviews | | Finish Type | Uncoated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00749699132202 | | Included Components | 3 sets of Ernie Ball Power Slinky Electric Guitar Strings | | Instrument | Electric Guitar | | Item Type Name | Electric Guitar Strings | | Item Weight | 0.09 kg | | Manufacturer | Ernie Ball | | Manufacturer Part Number | P03220 | | Material Type | Nickel, Steel | | Model Name | Power Slinky 3-Pack | | Model Number | P03220 | | Number of Items | 3 | | Number of Packs | 3 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Electric Guitar | | Set Name | Power Slinky | | Sound Profile | Balanced | | String Gauge | .011 | | String Material Type | Nickel | | UPC | 749699132202 | | Unit Count | 3 Count | | Warranty Description | None. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ernie Ball - **String Gauge:** .011 - **Color:** Power (11-48) - **Instrument:** Electric Guitar - **String Material Type:** Nickel ## Images ![Power Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3-pack, 11-48 Gauge (P03220) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81YI9vDSyfL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why are these ranked #1 in the category "Fishing" ?** A: When a company puts a product in some obscure category, they can get the "best seller" icon when they inevitably get more sales than the other products in that category. That's how you end up searching for something like "guitar strings", and multiple products show up as the #1 seller. Why Amazon still allows this after all these years, I will never know. **Q: Do all 6 strings come in the "1 pack"?** A: If you note on the front of the package, it has a list of numbers (10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46 on the "Regular Slinky" set, and similar on others). These are the string gauges included in the pack. If there were only one string in the pack, it would list a single number, because you'd have to know which string it was. **Q: what is the difference between slinky and non slinky?** A: Slinky is just a line of strings from Ernie Ball, the "Slinkier" they are the thinner they are, regular Slinky are 10 gauge strings, super slinky are 9s, and "Not Even Slinky" strings are 12s (the number represents the gauge of the lightest string in the set). **Q: I'm looking for extra strings for my new Les Paul Special II. I'm buing guitar from amazon, it costs $149. Are this strings compatible?** A: Short answer, yes they should be fine. Long answer, the comparability between strings and guitars doesnt matter, its the string slots that in the nut that matter. The les Paul's usually use bigger strings anyway. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ernie Ball Rides to the Top *by T***L on August 26, 2026* These strings are consistent and last a long time with proper care and maintenance.
