Was better then lead, but she's a puller... Unless, properly trained, they will still pull on it/Try to walk/run ahead. Had larger dogs before, (im in my 60's,) first small terrier cross breed, so more training I think. Snug fit though. Hope that helps. 👍 **Q: What size would I need for a 12 week old dachshund puppy?** A: I’d say a small as I brought a while ago when my shih tzu was a dot and although these are lovely my shih tzu bit straight through her lead didn’t have it long either 😂 ## Frequently Bought Together - Zunea No Pull Small Dog Harness and Leash Set Adjustable Reflective Step-in Chihuahua Vest Harnesses Mesh Padded Plaid Escape Proof Walking Puppy Jacket for Boy Girl Pet Dogs Cats Pink S - Hubulk Pet Dog Bowls 2 Stainless Steel Dog Bowl with No Spill Non-Skid Silicone Mat + Pet Food Scoop Water and Food Feeder Bowls for Feeding Small Medium Large Dogs Cats Puppies (M, Blue) - Petstages Cool Teething Stick for Dogs - Soothing Chew Toy for Teething Puppies - Freezable for Added Relief - Durable & Safe Dental Aid, Multicolor, One-Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/169737346-zunea-plaid-dog-vest-harnesses-and-lead-set-for-small](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/169737346-zunea-plaid-dog-vest-harnesses-and-lead-set-for-small) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
