A complicated harness comes with the case so you can walk around with the binoculars on your chest like a proud dad with a new baby. Not for me, so I took scissors to the straps and cobbled together a simple shoulder strap. Otherwise great.

**Q: What warranty do you get with these**
A: They come with a lifetime warranty.
 I must add I would recommend them....very clear sharp image and feel robust.

**Q: Do these binoculars have a lock on the diopter focusing**
A: No there is no lock, just a marker on the diopter ring and on the binocular body.

**Q: 8x42 or 12x50 which would you recommend**
A: I did quite a bit of research on this when I was buying some binoculars for my wife who was interested in doing some bird watching.  From all the online research an d watching a number of YouTube postings the conclusion I came to was it all depends on what you want to use them for.  The 8x42 will have less ‘shake’ when held in the hand and therefore be clearer. However, the 12x50 will get a closer picture if you are resting on something to steady your hand. 

I went for the 8x42, really good and easy to use. Perfect for bird watching.

Small and fast focus would advise 10 or 8 x mag for birding but the 12 x 50 is brilliant for long range viewing of birds of prey. Good optics for the money I am very pleased with them.
