## Description

Product Description Tea and the British seem to be inseparable in our perception of English culture. When BODUM was asked by the British Tea Council to develop a new way of brewing tea we were rather proud. We set out with the goal to make an innovation in tea drinking and the simple BODUM tea-brewing system was born: boil water, place your preferred tea leaves in the stainless steel filter, pour in the hot water, let steep 3-4 min. or to your preferred taste and press down the plunger. The brewing process has stopped - no need to remove the filter - no mess - no burned fingers, only the true unforgettable and delicious taste of your preferred tea. The clear glass makes the infusion visible at all times, making it a very attractive table piece. Everything can go in the dishwasher, the jug (without the rod and lid) can go in the microwave. Ingredients Materials: Stainless Steel, Silicone, Borosilicate Glass, Plastic.

Review: Calidad y funcionalidad excelente - Todo excelente, verdaderamente los productos Bodum es garantía.
Review: Whole leaf tea without a big mess--yay! - This modern-looking teapot is perfect for steeping tea in the leaf. That is, it doesn't go on the burners. It does its job admirably: tea leaves go in a strainer, which does into the pot. Instead of a plain cover, there's a plunger--essentially this is a tea version of the coffee plunger method. Clever, simple, and makes wonderful tea that's brewed to the intensity you desire. Wonderful, useful gadget for tea aficionados. I make two full mugs in the morning in this teapot. Just two tsps of tea leaves yields a strong brew--and with minimal mess, no gunky tea, either. Highly recommended.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what is the Bodum Assam tea pot handle made of ?**
A: Plastic. It is sturdy. I am on my second. I brew tea every day, at least once a day. I have been using one of these for at least 15 years. The first one cracked in an accident. It works for me.

**Q: Mad in?**
A: My teapot was made in Portugal.

**Q: What's the difference betweent this Assam tea press model, and the other one listed under the same name? One looks like it has a plastic handle(?)**
A: Depends on which one you are selecting. Some are glass and some are plastic.

**Q: Can you buy another infuser? We bought some Chinese teas which claim you can use them 6-8 times.**
A: Yes, you can buy another infuser. You may have to go into Bodum's site to find them, but you get them. These stainless steel ones last a really long time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing way to brew tea!
*by I***H on 29 April 2026*

This is my new favourite way to brew tea. It makes great tea, whatever kind you are brewing - it doesn't need to be Assam tea. You can make any tea you like and control the steeping time to your liking, stopping the brew with the plunger. I'll never go back to my old way of brewing tea.
