I'd only used the original tube before, and while it was a little more travel-friendly, the tube would eventually crack. Because the product lasts such a long time, once that happened, it would get messy, and I'd end up wasting some of it, which was always frustrating. It's not an expensive product, but it's still a shame to waste it. I guess my only concern with the new pump is whether the cap will eventually break as well. This has really helped with hyperpigmentation. I use it only at night and layer a PM moisturizer. For daytime, I use Vitamin C, moisturizer, and tinted sunscreen. The tinted sunscreen is also an important factor in this process. I used mild hydrating face cleansers daily and did a gentle exfoliation or clay mask once a week. I had some dryness and skin peeling during the first 2 weeks but that steadily improved and was pretty much gone by around day 40. What pleases me even more than the decreased hyperpigmentation is how silky smooth my entire face feels. Picture is plain face with maybe only moisturizer, but no makeup and no retouch.
