The model I bought FS-i6x came with a 10 channel receiver. I usually only need 6 but this allows adding extra features for later on if needed. Receivers are inexpensive and easy to find and bind to radio. Right now I have 6 receivers for all the planes I have. Very simple interface to switch planes. The only thing I can complain about is the physical size. I would like to see a slightly larger shell. Built a 4 foot tugboat with big plans. It obviously goes forward and backwards and write in the left, when I’m done with it, it will have full lighting, navigation and floodlights. it will also have a smoke generator, sound module, working 10 pound winch on the back of it, working fold over recovery forks on the front of it for lifting boats out of the water. So as a 10 channel radio, I should be able to control all the different functions of the boat right here. Price point is fantastic, so far have zero issues with the radio.
