**Q: I get that nails on chalkboard feeling from touching frosted glass. Will this file be a problem for me?**
A: I get that feeling from all nail files, I just had to get used to it. If frosted or etched glass specifically is a problem, you might want to stay away, because this file is exactly that.

**Q: What is the grit on the two surfaces of the nail file?**
A: The grit seems approximately the same on both surfaces of the nail file. I use the file on natural nails; and, it's a comfortable grit that is both effective and does not shred natural nails or cut into the surrounding skin.

**Q: Does it matter whether you use a buffing cream with this?**
A: This is not a nail buffer, so you wouldn't use a buffing cream with it. This is a glass FILE, it's to be used only on the free edge of the nail, to shape the nail. 
It's not to be used on the surface of the nail as a buffer, and would not work well for that purpose.

**Q: are the sides abrasive or smooth?**
A: The sides are smooth
