Review: Brilliant product. - I love how simple this product is to use, I've had other products before and it's, add a pin, have near the router, other daft things to extend your WiFi. Not with this product, its easy to set up and very powerful, I use mine in the wood shed I have on my property, with my old exstenders, if power goes down I'd have to go through all the kuffuful above. Not with this product. Power goes down, it turns off, reconnect power to outhouse and this product somehow remembers how to configure. It's brilliant. Worth the money.
Review: Does what I wanted. - I have an Eero Pro 6 Mesh system, and an LG TV which refuses to communicate with it, therefore I needed to create a separate network for it to log into. I had done this previously using another TP-Link extender, but it only operates on the 2.4 GHz band and was slow enough that some apps won't work, so I hoped that this 5GHz model might do the trick. The short answer is yes, I am now getting around 80 Mbps which is perfectly ok. The long answer is that while this is fine, it's (a) coming from a 900 Mbps Broadband connection so not that impressive, and (b) I've had to resort to running an Ethernet cable from the extender to the TV in order to achieve this. The setting up process is relatively straightforward using the Tether app, but WiFi speeds are nowhere near the figures quoted on the box. A lot of the problems in my case are down to the TV, I know that, but even using an iPhone to test the speed I was only getting a maximum of around 120 Mbps, and while this is fast enough for most applications it should be pointed out that this is with the extender in the same room as the router. Had I actually needed to extend the range of my WiFi network (if I hadn't been using a mesh system already) I would have bought a powerline adapter. They are much better at doing the job, although they do cost a bit more. As it stands I'd recommend this as a low cost solution where speed is not critical.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why is my internet speed much slower when connected through the range extender?**
A: Range extenders wirelessly repeat your router’s signal and should be placed about halfway from it. They operate in half-duplex mode, meaning slower speeds since they can't send and receive data at the same time, unlike wired connections.

**Q: My extender connection keeps dropping or is unstable. What can I do?**
A: Unstable connections may occur due to distance, thick walls, interference (e.g. microwaves, metal, cordless phones), or outdated firmware. Move the extender closer, avoid interference, and update firmware via Tether app or web interface.

**Q: What is AP mode and how is it different from extender mode?**
A: AP mode connects to your router via Ethernet and creates a Wi-Fi signal—ideal for faster, stable performance if you have a cable available. Extender mode wirelessly repeats your router’s signal but may reduce speed due to half-duplex operation.

**Q: Can I install multiple extenders in a large home?**
A: You can connect multiple extenders, but we recommend a max of two and direct connections to the router (no daisy-chaining). Use different Wi-Fi channels to reduce interference. For better coverage, consider a Deco Mesh system with seamless roaming.

**Q: My extender doesn’t work well with Vodafone or SKY routers. Why?**
A: This isn’t a compatibility issue. Some Vodafone/SKY routers send special WPS signals, making the extender create a long random password. Reset the extender, avoid WPS, and set up manually via Tether or web using the correct Wi-Fi password.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game-Changer for WiFi Dead Zones
*by N***N on 13 January 2025*

I was skeptical about whether this WiFi booster would make a noticeable difference after having tried other ones, but this device exceeded my expectations. Setting it up was quick and easy—just plug it in, connect it to your router through an app, and you’re good to go. The instructions were straightforward. The results were immediate. I used to struggle with weak signals in certain parts of my house, especially upstairs in my bedroom, but the booster eliminated those dead zones completely. The connection is now fast and stable, even with several devices connected to it. One thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t just extend the signal—it maintains a strong and reliable speed. I was worried there might be some lag or slower speeds with an extended signal, but I haven’t noticed any issues. It works seamlessly, and I can now use my devices in every corner of my home without worrying about dropped connections. The design is compact and unobtrusive, so it doesn’t take up much space or look out of place. If you’re struggling with WiFi coverage in certain areas of your home or office, this booster is definitely worth it. It’s affordable, easy to set up, and makes a huge difference in connectivity. Highly recommend!
