Put the powder in your machine before your clothes, and it won’t clump up at all. I’ve been using this for a long time now, and it’s still fantastic. I do still use Tide on my kids’ school uniforms and our dress clothes, but I use this on everything else. I don’t use any liquid fabric softener with the exception of a little vinegar every so often. I do use occasional dryer sheets when it’s dry outside, but since I live on the Gulf Coast I can get away with dryer balls most of the year. Once in a while I still soak my whites in Oxi White Revive, but this stuff is fantastic. The only drawback that I must mention is that sometimes it does sort of crystallize and clump up at the rim of my machine right under where the clothes hit, but that’s easily remedied by simply wiping the machine with a Clorox wipe.
