It is wonderful to clean clothes and for my family who has so many allergies to soaps, detergents etc. as far as septic safe I would definitely say yes. I do not use powder detergent since after awhile it creates problems with backage, doesn’t dissolve with the hard water and I even had to get a plumber to open the pipe to eleviate the problem . 1 pod or 2 for extra large loads is all u need. **Q: Can these be used on dark/colored clothes?** A: Oh yes, absolutely, they’re great on any type clothing.
